# BCH After School Club
## EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The BCH After School Club is a student study club conceptualized by the Supreme Student Council A.Y. 2026-2027 centered around a gamified learn and earn activity. It is designed to introduce the students to Bitcoin Cash, blockchain fundamentals and basic digital literacy, in a completely beginner-friendly environment. The club will help students understand how an alternative peer to peer electronic cash called Bitcoin Cash works in real life and will run for 8 weeks only, with 1 session per week.

## BACKGROUND
* ### Genesis
In 2025, the Supreme Student Council A.Y. 2025-2026 incorporated the launch of a fundraiser via an NFT art project called “[Regrettable NFT](https://cashmint.cash/drop/drop-1777579970470-j0wk7ki)” with a limited supply of 60 on the Bitcoin Cash network into its proposed roadmap of activities which was initiated by Ashley who was also the Vice President back then. Every single piece in the collection was personally hand-drawn by the student council officers then scanned to convert it into digital format to ensure each of them is truly special, to reflect the officers’ creativity and real effort when countless AI-generated artworks have emerged on the internet.
Originally, the plan was to fund a small seminar for about 100 high school students from different schools to promote BCH awareness. Some of the money would also support future Student Council activities such as a local feeding program, with a small portion used to reimburse the officers’ out-of-pocket expenses. As for why it was called Regrettable, the NFT art collection was created solely for fundraising. It's basically useless, no utility nor use case. They are only thought-provoking art where its real meaning and value depends on what the supporter or buyer thinks and feels about them. People might appreciate them, while others might think they're unworthy and regret buying it later on. And that contrast is part of why Ashley chose to name it "Regrettable."

[Regrettable NFT](https://cashmint.cash/drop/drop-1777579970470-j0wk7ki) started minting on the NFT marketplace cashmint.cash on April 3, 2026. The date was chosen intentionally during the April Fools’ month to match the suspicious punny name of the collection. The price for each NFT was set at 0.032 BCH (approx. $15 at launch). Based on the typical exchange rate of $1 to PHP 57, selling all 60 NFTs at $15 each would equate to approx. $900 in total which was around PHP 50,000. Thanks to Ashley’s prior involvement in the Bitcoin Cash community (where she was exposed as @LumangBulbul), some acquaintances who are BCH advocates helped spread the word about the NFT collection. Eventually, the project was recognized and received help from the [cashmint.cash](https://cashmint.cash) developer, who featured 'Regrettable NFT' on the website's front page. As a result, 31 out of 60 have been successfully sold to date.
Given the anticipated workload of the SSC officers for the upcoming year, the team decided not to wait for the collection to fully sell out. Additionally, recent campus space adjustments reduced the facility to a single floor, making it difficult to accommodate a hundred people for a seminar. Instead of hosting a one-day seminar centered mostly on discussions and giveaways to perk students' interest, Ashley pitched the idea of opening a study club focused on BCH awareness with a gamified reward system as part of its activities which led to the conceptualization of the BCH After School Club.
* ### Name of the Club
The name **BCH After School Club** was chosen for clarity and simplicity. It utilizes the ticker symbol *"BCH"* for **Bitcoin Cash** to define the focus of the club, while the *"After School"* denotes that all club activities, the sessions and games, are strictly held after class hours. This prevents overlap or conflict with the students' schedules and ensures that each member can engage without feeling overwhelmed or burdened by their academic workload.

## PROGRAM OBJECTIVE & STRUCTURE
Through the BCH After School Club, weekly discussions will introduce students to Bitcoin Cash, followed by quiz weeks where members will earn points based on their scores. At the end of the month, an auction game will be held in which members will be able to use their accumulated points to bid on budget items bought with the money from the fundraiser. This gamified approach is necessary because the students are completely new to the Blockchain technology, and complex concepts can be difficult to grasp through lectures alone. In this way, learning will be easier for them and will more genuinely pique their interest. The knowledge will be truly imprinted in their minds as they get to experience actual transactions, and it will also help them realize that Bitcoin Cash works just like regular cash.
With the funding raised so far, if this program is implemented, it may be able to run for about 2 months. Although the campus may not have a large student population because the school focuses mostly on Distance Education, these students still have the potential to make a real difference in the future, and the knowledge they gain may help serve as a foundation for them.
* **Scheduling:** 1 session per week. 2 hours or more per session for 8 weeks alternating weekly between a discussion session and short quiz activity. To avoid conflicts with academic coursework, sessions will only take place on days when students do not have face-to-face classes.
* **Target Audience:** Open to all AMACC Naga students interested but membership is non-automatic. Students must submit a registration.
* **Facility Usage:** Sessions will utilize available classroom for club activities
* **Reward System:** Snacks and refreshments will be provided to members during each session as a tangible reward for attendance. Points gained by the students in each session will be given as **AFTER tokens**, which they can use to bid in the auction game.

## REGISTRATION
The club is open to all students, but it does not automatically make them members. To become an official member, the following are needed:
1. Fill out the Google Form that will be shared by any SSC Officers
2. Download any Bitcoin Cash Wallet
3. Interested in the club’s purpose: to learn about BCH

## REWARD SYSTEM

To encourage the students to join the club and attend each session, snacks and refreshments will be given as tangible rewards. Below is the proposed weekly menu (note: subject to change based on availability):

* ### Token Distribution
Members gain points by attending weekly after-school study sessions and completing quick BCH quizzes. Instead of being recorded as points on paper, they are given as a digital token called BCH After School Club, with the ticker symbol AFTER, similar to how Philippine pesos are represented as PHP, built on top of the Bitcoin Cash network. It is important to note that, even though AFTER is a token or cryptocurrency, it holds no monetary value and was minted mainly to give students hands-on exposure to the Bitcoin Cash network. AFTER tokens will be used to bid in monthly budget-meal auction games.
